I won't lie, it has been an adjustment for us - sort of switching gears. I never thought I'd be pregnant again, but who wouldn't love a tiny baby to hold of their own just one more time? Avery wouldn't be a tiny newborn, she'd be between 9 and 13 months old by the time we got to hold her.
As far as the adoption process goes we are still planning to adopt. To meet all the time line requirements with the new baby we have to pull our dossier out of line until baby number four is about 6 months old. When he or she is around 6 months we send a letter to China requesting our dossier be put back in line. None of this is "official" yet, we are waiting until my first doctors appointment before we pull our dossier out of line.
In other words? We are going to be the parents to FIVE really great kids! PARTY AT THE MCMURPHY HOUSE 24/7!!
(If any of you bring your kids over and I slap a name tag that says "not mine" on them for a while please just humor me, it's just to keep everyone straight.)
"....because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. And perseverance must do its work, so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." James 1:1-2

God's detours often take us on the scenic routes miles away from where we thought we were going, but always with a spectacular destination planned for us. He knows where all the "good stuff" is. :-) This detour, I'm sure, will cause you to stop in wonder many times. I'm thankful I get to enjoy the journey and admire the view with you.
